ENGLISH EXCEL TEMPLATE

Daily standup template

Set a morning standup time with Dina. The AI agent asks three questions, sends reminders and brings plans and blockers together in a summary with an Excel report. Each employee replies with a message through an available channel.

Set up the report with Dina in English or Russian. Your team can reply by email, and you can send the summary and Excel report to managers and stakeholders.

Who is this for?

For teams that need regular updates but cannot always meet at the same time. Use it for asynchronous daily or Scrum standup updates that participants can read when convenient.

What to prepare

Start with a list of respondents and a morning collection time. You do not need a separate task list. Participants describe their results and plans in their own words.

Fictional sample data. Missing answers are shown separately from confirmed zero values. The downloadable workbook contains the full set of fields.

Yesterday
Capture the results the participant reports from the previous working day. These are reported results, not independent verification. An empty cell does not mean no work was done.
Today
See what each participant plans to focus on during the coming working day.
Blockers
Identify what is holding up progress and which decisions are needed from colleagues or the manager.
Response completeness
Complete and partial answers are distinguished from no response. Original messages are available to check.

Questions to ask

  1. What did you accomplish yesterday?
  2. What do you plan to do today?
  3. Are there any blockers?

A plain-text reply

“Yesterday I prepared the mockup. Today I plan to hand it over to development. I'm still waiting for budget approval.” — Anna

Dina puts results, plans and blockers into the corresponding fields. If a plan or the reason for a delay is unclear, Dina may ask a follow-up question.

An example summary

“Anna reports that the mockup is ready to hand over, but she is waiting for budget approval. Igor plans to test sign-in after fixing the form errors. Viktor has not responded yet.”

How to get started

01

Choose the three questions

Start with the standard questions about yesterday, today and blockers. Discuss any wording changes with Dina if needed.

02

Set the morning window

Choose the days, collection start, response deadline, reminder and summary time.

03

See the team's shared picture

Receive the summary in the web dashboard and your selected channels. Discuss significant blockers separately with the team.

Open the app in English, choose the questions and invite your respondents. Agree on the schedule and recipients with Dina, then review the settings before starting the first collection.

Schedule and recipients

For example, on weekdays: questions at 09:00, responses due by 09:20 and a summary at 09:30. For a distributed team, choose a suitable response window and time zone.

Set the collection start, response deadline and report delivery time separately. Choose weekdays, reminders and a time zone; check the calendar settings before starting.

Employees can reply in a connected Telegram or MAX chat, by email or in the app. Send the summary and Excel to personal Telegram or MAX chats, a verified Telegram group or email recipients, including stakeholders. MAX groups are not supported.

Questions about this template

Is this the same as a daily work report?

The structure is similar, but the timing and focus differ. A morning standup helps the team coordinate today's work. An evening daily work report records the current day's results and plans for tomorrow.

Will Dina replace every team meeting?

Dina helps collect regular updates. Complex decisions, competing priorities and shared planning may still need a separate conversation.

Does everyone need to use the same messaging app?

No. Questions go to each participant's chosen channel: personal Telegram or MAX, or email. Participants can also respond in the web dashboard.

Where will the standup summary appear?

In the web dashboard and with your selected recipients. Delivery options include connected personal Telegram or MAX, a confirmed Telegram group and email. Recipient settings are checked before sending.

Can I also track specific action items?

Use the separate action item tracker for the status of each assigned task. Schedule the two collections to avoid overloading your team. Separate surveys are not automatically combined.
