What the spreadsheet tracks

Sales rep and reporting day
One row records one sales rep’s results for one day. The reporting date is shown above the table in the example. Save a separate copy for another day.
Calls and sales proposals
Daily targets and actual results are kept separately. Agree in advance what counts as a call or a sent proposal.
Meetings and deals
Meeting counts and deal counts are different metrics. Define the stage at which a sale counts as a deal.
Payments received
Record the number of payments and the amount of money received separately. These amounts should not be confused with the value of open deals.
Blocker and plan
Where the sales rep needs help from their manager and what action they plan to take tomorrow.
Completeness and totals
In the example, 3 of 4 sales reps responded, reporting 105 calls and RUB 360,000 in payments received. The rep who did not respond is shown separately; these are not complete team totals while data is missing.

Questions for collecting the data

  1. How many calls, sales proposals and meetings did you complete today?
  2. How many deals did you record and how many payments did you receive? What was the total amount received?
  3. What is blocking sales, where do you need help, and what are you planning for tomorrow?

Use these questions for manual check-ins and spreadsheet entries. They can also inform a future automated workflow.

How to use the template

01

Agree the metrics

Define how calls, proposals, deals and payments will be counted. Enter each sales rep’s plan.

02

Collect the day’s results

Enter actual values, blockers and tomorrow’s actions. Use the number 0 for a confirmed zero.

03

Check the summary

Review response completeness, total calls and payments received. Follow up on missing data before assessing the department’s overall result.

Keep the original workbook and work in a copy. Replace fictional entries while preserving headers and formulas. Check total ranges when adding rows beyond the prepared area.

Questions about this template

How is this different from a general daily report?

A general report collects written updates on results, plans and help needed. The sales report adds separate numerical metrics, planned and actual values, deals and payments.

Does this replace a CRM?

The example helps you compile a daily summary. Customer records, deal history, pipeline stages and CRM synchronization are not included in this file.

Why can’t I use zero for a missing response?

Zero means the sales rep has confirmed that there were no calls, deals or payments. If they have not responded, their result is still unknown. Replacing missing data with zero distorts the assessment of their work.

Is automatic collection available for this format?

The completed Excel example is available now. Automatic collection for this extended sales report is not available yet. Tell the DinaBot team which metrics and report recipients your department needs.
